Hermetically sealed Jesus for a hermetically sealed faith

I found this on the net today...words can't do it justice...It even won an award for packaging...

Remembrance® Box of 210 Prefilled Communion Glasses

Double-sealed and disposable, individual Remembrance® wafer and juice sets combine modern convenience and purity with a taste for tradition. The elements are prepackaged, with both wafer and juice in a single two-part container. Communion participants peel back one seal to remove the communion wafer. A second seal under the wafer is then removed for juice. Remembrance® cups are designed to fit standard communion ware. Box contains 210 ready-to-use cups. Shelf-life of 6 months.

Communion as simple as 1, 2, 3!

United Nations - New York

A visit to the United Nations was both inspiring and frustrating - they've gotta change the veto power of the five permanent members of the security council - it is a different world now... This is the "Golden Rule" mosaic based on a painting by Norman Rockwell given to the UN by Nancy Reagan in 1985 on the 40th anniversary of the founding of the UN.

Palm Sunday

Happy Palm Sunday - the traditional day we celebrate Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem riding on a donkey on his road to death on the cross and to resurrection. The crowds that lines the streets waving palm branches welcoming Jesus - cheering him on - cried "Hosanna" which means "deliver us". They had been waiting 400 years for a promised warrior king to come riding on the clouds to restore the nation of Israel to it's rightful place of honour and to defeat the occupying Roman empire. They were waiting for "the One". Little did they know that the saviour (the anointed one or messiah) of Israel was not coming with a sword and violent power to defeat the human enemy, but he was coming with humility, obedience and the power of sacrifice to defeat the spiritual enemy of death. And this Messiah was not just for Israel, but for the whole world. For you and me. You never know what you are going to get...sometimes you get a whole lot more.
